Foton Showcases Green and Smart Vehicles at 7th China-Arab States Expo
The 7th China-Arab States Expo opened on 8, August in Yinchuan under the theme “Innovation, Green and Prosperity.” Foton Motor, one of China’s leading commercial vehicle manufacturers, presented five models, including the eVIEW, Foton Galaxus and eAUMARK. The company highlighted advances in low-carbon and smart technologies aimed at boosting China-Arab economic cooperation.
Launched in 2013, the China-Arab States Expo has become a key platform for trade and collaboration between China, Arab countries and Belt and Road partners. At this year’s event, Foton displayed vehicles designed for both urban delivery and long-haul transport, emphasizing range, efficiency and safety.
Foton Galaxus Natural Gas Trucks
The Galaxus 7 and Galaxus 9 trucks are built for long-distance logistics. They are equipped with 630-horsepower engines, 2,600 N·m torque, and ZF’s second-generation automatic transmission, which reduces fuel consumption by 3% to 5%. Customers can choose from 1,500L, 1,350L or 1,000L gas tanks. Cab features include wide beds, dual 12.3-inch screens and PM2.5 air filtration. Safety systems include collision warnings, lane departure alerts and 360-degree cameras.
eAUMARK Electric Light Truck
The eAUMARK, developed with battery supplier CATL, carries a 100.46-kWh battery, weighs under 2.5 tons and delivers about 10% more range than earlier models. It comes with warranties of eight years/500,000 kilometers for the battery and five years/300,000 kilometers for the electric axle. The model is intended for sectors such as express delivery and cold-chain logistics.
eVIEW Electric Van
The eVIEW van targets urban logistics with a competitive driving range. It offers a 7-cubic-meter cargo box, a 2,800mm interior length, a low tailgate and sliding doors, and wide wheel spacing for easier loading. It also features remote diagnostics, over-the-air updates, vehicle-to-load power supply and advanced driver assistance systems.
Expanding in Arab Markets
Foton has grown rapidly in Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, developing vehicles suited to high temperatures and sandy conditions. The company has delivered multiple orders, set up sales and service networks, and formed partnerships with local firms in support of Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030.
Global New Energy Strategy
Foton began developing new energy technologies in 2003 and now produces electric, hybrid and hydrogen fuel cell vehicles. Its electric trucks, vans and buses are certified in Europe and exported to more than 45 countries, including in Europe, Australia, South America and Southeast Asia. The company has delivered more than 1,400 electric buses in Latin America, and its electric and hydrogen models are also operating in Chile, Malta and Mexico.
By participating in the China-Arab States Expo, Foton showcased its progress in green and smart commercial vehicles while strengthening ties with Arab and Belt and Road markets. The company said it will continue to provide innovative, efficient and low-carbon transport solutions worldwide.
