Sinotruk Presents Trucks and Parts at Tanzania’s Sabasaba Trade Fair
DAR ES SALAAM, Tanzania — Sinotruk showcased its best-selling trucks, driveline assemblies and auto parts at the 49th Sabasaba International Trade Fair in Tanzania, aiming to strengthen its presence in the East African market.
The Chinese truck maker drew attention on the fair’s opening day with visits from Chinese Ambassador to Tanzania Chen Mingjian and Zanzibar President Hussein Ali Mwinyi. Chen praised the company’s role in Tanzania’s transportation and infrastructure development. Mwinyi said Sinotruk’s vehicles have improved logistics efficiency, supported local technical training and provided an example of China–Tanzania industrial cooperation.

The company displayed tractor trucks, dump trucks and cargo trucks designed for local market needs, along with upgrades in adaptability and smart features. Sinotruk also introduced the HOWO-NX 8×4 CNG model, which is equipped with an MT13-430 horsepower engine and designed for longer range and lower emissions.
Sinotruk operates three 4S stores and 12 service outlets in Tanzania. It plans to expand coverage to all major economic corridors over the next three years.
The Sabasaba Fair, a major annual trade event in Tanzania, draws exhibitors and visitors from across the region.
