Jiefang Qingdao Plant Celebrates Its 55th Anniversary

Tractors, dumpers, cargo trucks, SPVs, new energy trucks, NG vehicles, overseas models, a total of 127 trucks were lined up neatly at the event to celebrate the 55th anniversary of Jiefang Qingdao Automobile plant.

From 1968 to 2023, after 55 years of hard work and continuous innovation, it has developed from an unknown small factory into a large smart and digital factory with an annual production capacity of 293,000 vehicles, revenue of 56.4 billion R-M-B and cumulative output of 2.6 million vehicles.

Lisheng, Deputy General Manager of FAW JIEFANG, and Secretary of the Party Committee of FAW Jiefang Qingdao Automobile Plant said: "the remarkable achievement over the past 55 years can be attributed to the right leadership, the support of partners and trust from new and old customers all over the world."

Hu Hanjie, Assistant General Manager of FAW, chairman and party secretary of FAW Jiefang, fully affirmed the operating results achieved by Jiefang Qingdao Automobile plant. He stated that Jiefang Qingdao Plant, as an important production base of FAW Jiefang, has accomplished a tough task of producing and delivering over 2 million trucks.

On 55th anniversary, Jiefang Qingdao Automobile plant saw its 2.6 millionth truck, Ji efang Eagle, roll off the production line and be delivered to a customer from Kazakhstan.

This is the first time for Jiefang Eagle to be exported overseas, once again demonstrating its strong product strength.

After 55 years of hard work, Jiefang Qingdao Automobile plant will start a new journey for development with leading technology on the way to build a century-old auto brand.
