Volkswagen is brewing a new energy strategy
Three-step development strategy
As far as we know, Volkswagen has been always proud of diesel development projects in China, therefore, the next step in China’s new strategic direction has been concerned by truck industry.
Reporter made an interview and found that although Volkswagen has been spare no effort to promote his diesel with environmental protection and technology, but before certain direction of new energy direction comes out, Volkswagen is actively seeking hybrid and other new energy carriers in the development.
It is informed that the Volkswagen Group has planned a complete strategy with energy conservation and environmental protection, the strategy wholly divided into following short medium and long-term three parts. In the short term, to solve the energy supply of energy conservation and environmental protection of the basic approach is to further optimize gasoline engines, extend the use of advanced diesel engine, which can be achieved without needing much investment by society, Volkswagen is doing electric vehicles, hybrid vehicles or some other alternative energy sources, including bio-fuels and so on.. in the long term , focus on finding solution of hydrogen energy .
For the Chinese market, Volkswagen is developing the “three-step” strategy with the basic principles and foundation based on popularizing rate of energy-saving technologies in the market, “When you develop into a large scale and cover the market, saving energy and protecting environment would be possible.”
