Xuzhou Launches International Communication Center to Boost Global Outreach
The eastern Chinese city of Xuzhou on March 28 launched its International Communication Center, as part of efforts to strengthen its global outreach and present its industrial capabilities to an international audience.
Officials attending the launch included Hu Liansheng, deputy head of the Publicity Department of Jiangsu Province; Liu Wei, a member of the Xuzhou municipal committee and head of its publicity department; and a Macau media delegation led by Lu Baohua. Representatives from XCMG also attended the event.
The new center is intended to enhance the city’s international communication efforts and improve global awareness of Xuzhou. During the launch, XCMG introduced the “Made-in-Xuzhou” branding initiative, which will serve as a platform to showcase the city’s industrial base and manufacturing strengths.
Macau Daily reported on the launch, highlighting both the new center and XCMG’s role in promoting the initiative.
XCMG, one of China’s leading construction machinery manufacturers, has expanded its presence worldwide, with products exported to more than 190 countries and regions. The company’s footprint covers over 95% of countries participating in the Belt and Road Initiative, underscoring the growing international reach of Xuzhou’s manufacturing sector.

The company has also hosted seven editions of its Global Customer Festival, drawing tens of thousands of overseas visitors to the city and providing a platform for international exchange and business engagement.
“Made-in-Xuzhou” is one of four key branding programs under the International Communication Center. The initiative will focus on promoting local companies’ overseas projects, technological innovation and localization efforts, with the aim of highlighting Xuzhou’s industrial capabilities, particularly in construction machinery, as well as its contribution to global markets.
Xuzhou is positioning itself as a hub for a world-class construction machinery industry cluster. With XCMG at its core, the city is seeking to further strengthen its global presence and competitiveness in the sector.
