Commercial vehicle joint venture presents a new face

On August 18, Zhao Jingguang, deputy secretary of Beiqi foton party committee, said Foton and Daimler Benz started a new cooperation era and the newly established company will produce Auman only.

Though it is an ordinary cooperation between China commercial vehicle maker and international giant, it is different from the past cooperation. In the past, cooperation between Sino-vehicle maker and foreign maker were mainly focused on introducing foreign truck models and brands, however, the cooperation between Foton and Daimler is a 50-50 investment which keeps the brand Auman.
