China's Components Company Break the deadlock with AIAG
Financial crisis hits all over the world. And it also hits the Chinese automobile industry. How much have the automotive parts and components, downstream of vehicle industry influenced into this financial crisis? How to face the keen market competition? Based on this background, AIAG held the “AIAG Auto Parts Purchasing Leadership and Supplier Forum” at Beijing New International Exhibition Center on 14th November. The activities give more confidence to export parts and components.

The Automotive Industry Action Group (AIAG) collaborated with CIAPE again after 2007, which play an important role in the communication between North American automotive companies and the Chinese auto parts suppliers.
AIAG want to provide assistance to the three auto companies in North America and other member companies choose qualified supplier. While the suppliers, they can find the difference form the international buyers. And then they will take the initiative and bridge the gap. Only in this way, can we win the competition.
There're more than 1,000 companies take parts in this auto pars exhibition. And more than 3,000 professional buyers from 60 countries attend the conference. Therefore, the participating enterprises are representative of Chinese auto parts industry.
Ben Bigelow is the President and Chief Executive Officer for Specialty Products Company (SPC). He said that they are most concerned about the after market of auto parts. And he hopes he can find suitable partners through this forum.
John Deer is the world's leading provider of advanced products and services for agriculture and forestry. Steven Hsieh, who is Director, Supply Management and Supplier Quality Engineering for John Deere China operations, requests a high standard for the domestic suppliers. He said that to be a successful supplier should grasp market's reaction speed, reasonable price and supply high quality products. At the same time, communication is the most essential condition.
But China's commercial vehicle technology is fall behind other countries in international market. However, the international procurement price is too high. This is what we are living in a bottleneck.
For this problem, J,Scot Sharland, the executive director of the AIAG answered that what we desperately need is patient. Why John Deer can have such a mature technology? The reason is they have accumulated over the past decades. Good attitude adjustment and preparation will help us facing this challenge.
Although a general downturn in the international market, international buyers never stop purchasing form China market. International buyers are still optimistic about the Chinese market.
