Navistar wins $362 mln U.S. MRAP truck order

Navistar Defense LLC, an affiliate of Navistar International Corp, has won a $362.3 million order for 400 mine-resistant, ambush-protected trucks for the U.S. Marines, the Pentagon said Wednesday.
The vehicles feature enhanced maneuverability and expanded armor, including blast-resistant underbodies to protect crew members against mines and direct fire, the Defense Department's daily contract summary said.
Work will be performed in West Point, Mississippi, and is expected to be completed by the end of May 2009, the Pentagon said.
