Shaanxi Auto plans to export 3,200 trucks to Algeria 2009

Recently, the reporter learned from Shaanxi Auto Group that the company signed a 3,200 units heavy truck sales contract with Algeria EURL GM TRADE Company. Among them, the first batch of 500 heavy trucks has delivered by the end of December 2008, and the remaining 2,700 units will be delivered before the June 2009.
In recent years, Algeria's political stability and sustained economic development, local government has launched a number of infrastructure projects, including highways, railways, ports and airports and so on, which becomes the mainspring of the country's heavy truck demand growth. And the data also shows that Algeria has become the second largest auto market.
The heavy truck demand of Algeria is around 6,000 units in 2008. And it is also expected to reach 8,000 units in 2009.
According to the briefing, Shaanxi Auto Group is officially entered to Algerian market in 2006. And in October same year, the company signed a contract with the EURL GM TRADE company to export 80 heavy trucks. Since then, after two years market development, Shaanxi Auto SHACMAN brand are well-known in Algeria.
Shaanxi Auto Group said that their heavy truck sales in Algeria is over 3,500 units by the end of November 2008.Coupled with other channels of the heavy truck sales, heavy truck of Shaanxi Auto owned vehicles has nearly 10,000 units in Algeria. Shaanxi Auto expected the heavy truck sales in Algeria can up to 6,000 units in 2009.
