Beijing New Energy Automobile Alliance founded
Beijing New Energy Automobile Alliance, the first of its kind in China, was recently founded in Beijing.
Jointly initiated by Beijing Automobile Industry Holdings Co., Ltd., one of China's major automakers, Beijing Public Transport Holdings and Beijing Institute of Technology, the alliance has combined all the advantage resources of China in the new energy field.
More than 50 members of the alliance will join in technological cooperation, information sharing, research and development and policy lobbying, with an aim to improve core technology and innovation capacity.
The key laboratory of Beiqi Foton Motor Co., Ltd. will be accessible to members of the alliance to facilitate technological improvement, training and joint research.
Member enterprises will conduct joint procurement in a bid to reduce the manufacturing cost of new energy cars.
In addition, the alliance will set up special dialogue scheme with the government voicing the requirement of member companies and promote adoption of industry policies.
