Africa has become the biggest commercial vehicle export market of Jiangsu
Jiangsu Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation Office informed that the automobile exports to Africa was valued at 65.99 million U.S. dollars in the first half year by Jiangsu Province, which accounting 42.1% for the total automobile exports. Africa has become the biggest commercial vehicle export market of Jiangsu province.
In the First half of this year, more than 13,300 vehicles had exported from Jiangsu Province, which had a 53.7%decrease compared with the same period in 2008. Among them, entire vehicle exports to Africa rose 0.02 percent and fell 59.9 % in Asia year-on-year. In Latin America and Europe fell 76 % and 83.5% year-on-year. A total export amount valued at 157 million U.S. dollars, decline 57.4 percent year on year.
Special purpose vehicle rank first in the export market, with a total of 8,419 units, accounting for 63.4 percent of total exports; the second is big and medium-sized passenger vehicles, with a total of 1,716 units, accounting for 12.9% of total exports; the third is the heavy-duty vehicles, with a total of 1,591 units, accounting for 12% of total exports.
