Scania environmental protection activity on the way
(chinatrucks.com, Nov. 26, 2009)Global warming has become increasingly urgent. Scania believes that various alternative energy sources are not perfect. They want to find a better one and also making unremitting efforts for this goal.
Scania launched the ethanol trucks in 2008 officially, which equipped with a new type of ethanol engines. Its emissions in line with the standard of enhanced environmentally friendly vehicle (EEV), which is more stringent than Euro 5 standard. Two Swedish companies had participated in the experiment.
Alcohol truck is mainly used in Stockholm to complete a short-distance distribution work. After more than one year's experiments, it received good results.
