Volvo to improve engine technology again
(chinatrucks.com, March 24,2010) Volvo will improve engine technology to meet emission standard of European 6, including operation software of automotive, friction resistance, and engine cycling system, etc.
The emission-limitation standard of European 6 is mainly to reduce the NOx emission. Volvo is continuing improving the engine technology to optimize fuel consumption, and it gets better and better through several decades efforts. For example, the diesel oil of the very popular Volvo FH series has been reduced 40% consumption. Volvo is becoming a pioneer in fuel oil improvement field since D13 engine has hit the market in 2005.
The wonderful performance of Volvo in engine power function, fuel oil economy, and emission reduction has demonstrated the core value of “quality, security, environment protection” of Volvo.
