GB 7258 to promote new version
(chinatrucks.com, May 13, 2010) It is learned by reporter that GB 7258 “Safety and Technology Conditions of Motor Vehicle Running” is to promote new version in 2010. Compared with current GB 7258— 2004, most revision parts are involved in commercial vehicles, mainly including four revision parts:
Firstly, the definition of motor vehicle has been revised. Auto shall be divided into passenger auto, cargo auto, and special purpose vehicle, which enable the users understand applicable range of related articles.
Secondly, the safety and technology requirements of heavy truck, dangerous van transportation and other key vehicles shall be raised. Thirdly, the related requirements of maximum allowable overall weight of heavy and medium platform van shall be specified. The fourth point is that the last row seating arrangement of passenger auto and van driving cab shall be specified.
If the performance of batch products and performance of certified vehicle type is different from each other, the company may be punished by production suspension. The new version of GB 7258 will be promoted accordingly.
