Volvo to recall 77,000 trucks in North America
(chinatrucks.com, July 2, 2010) Volvo Trucks announces recently that truck steering has completely lost control because there is a default in ball bottom base of steering wheel. Volvo Trucks will recall 77,000 trucks in North America.
The recalling trucks will include VNL and VNM trucks during 2001 and 2006 manufactured by Volvo. According to the statistics of American high way safety administration quoted by Associated Press that the default in ball bottom base of steering wheel has caused 23 car accidents by now, and 2 peoples have been hurt.
Volvo represents that the default is found during annual check of auto safety. Volvo decides to recall the trucks having default and repair them for free in order to guarantee the security of all drivers.
