Navistar to provide two types of engines to Otokar
(chinatrucks.com, July 9, 2010) Navistar Engine Group announces that it has signed a six-year contract with Otokar company.
It is elaborated in the contract that Navistar will provide MaxxForce 3.0 and MaxxForce 3.2 diesel engines to Otokar. The two diesel engines have adopted advanced EGR technology, and have reached Euro III and Euro V emission standard. The above mentioned diesel engines are designed for Otokar North America market and the Middle East market, as well as Turkey market and European market.
Navistar plans to produce the two diesel engines in MWM International Motores Company in South America in March 2011 and first quarter of 2012.
Navistar represents that the cooperation with Otokar means a lot for Navistar engine technology enter European auto market.
