New energy vehicle base is established in Jiangsu

(chinatrucks.com, July 12, 2010) It is learned from the statistics disclosed by Economy and Information Bureau that development plan of new energy vehicle will make great efforts to make five enterprises pass national certification to get access to enterprise and product license. Annual sales revenue of new energy auto industry will reach 1 billion euros.

At present, there are more than 50 new energy enterprises in Jiangsu. The enterprises have researched several new energy vehicles, and three of them have been entered into recommendation contents of national energy saving and new energy auto promotion.

It is pointed by industry experts that although completely vehicle manufacturing in Jiangsu has no advantage, however, the critical parts, such as, powerful battery, are relatively superior. More and more new energy auto programs are launched in 2010; sales volume of parts and components accessories of Jiangsu will be increased rapidly.

Jiangsu will establish new energy auto and critical parts and components base at Nanjing, Changzhou, Suzhou, and Yancheng to lead industry concentration and perfect industry match and extend industry chain.
