Net profits of Volvo trucks in the third quarter is 423 million dollars
(chinatrucks.com, Oct 25, 2010) It is reported from the foreign media that the global second truck manufacturer Volvo has announced on Oct 22, 2010 that Volvo has got net profits in the third quarter in 2010 is 423 million Dollars, which is the profit in consecutive three quarters.
Volvo announces that sales volumes of European market in 2010 will be increased around 10% because of the recovery of Europe and North America heavy duty truck markets. Sales volumes of North America market is about 20-30%.
Demands of heavy truck are gliding because of the financial crisis, and Volvo has to cut down thousands of workers. Volvo has got losses in consecutive five quarters, and Volvo has gained the first profits earning in first quarter of 2010 under the recovery of truck market and the promotion of production cost reduction.
