Caterpillar has procured German engine manufacturer MWM
(chinatrucks.com, Oct 27, 2010) It is disclosed by news on Oct 22nd, 2010 that Caterpillar will procure German engine manufacturer MWM Holding GmbH from British private shares company, which is announced by CAT.
CAT thinks that the deal will help to expand the supply to customers from electricity production department. The full name of MWM is Motoren-Werke Mannheim, and it mainly produces natural gas, special gas and diesel engines.
At the moment, the fund of the structure has been changed a lot. Caterpillar is investing several big programs to expand the production capacities. CAT has procured Electro-Motive Diesel, the rail machine vehicles at the early time of 2010. The procurement will be completed in next few months after the supervisor has approved it.
