SIH to establish new plant in Chongqing

(chinatrucks.com, Jan 5, 2011) Sales volumes of SIH commercial vehicle in 2010 have surpassed 35,000, which have increased 60% by same time of 2009. The capacities of new base located at Northern new area will reach the limit during “twelve five” period, and SIH has initiated to establish the second plant.

Sales volumes of auto in China of 2010 have surpassed 18 million, and heavy truck has surpassed 1 million at the first time, and the overall increase rate has increased nearly 60%. The increase rate of sales volumes of Sinotruk, FAW, Dongfeng, and Shaanxi heavy truck enterprises have surpassed the average level of the market.    

Sinotruk has set up “ China Sinotruk Group Chengdu Wangpai Commercial Vehicle Company Limited” after Sinotruk has restructured Chengdu Wangpai Commercial Vehicle at the second half of 2010. It aims to develop heavy truck, medium truck and light truck, &mini truck and other auto business. The overall investment of the base is around 300 million Euros, and 80 million Euros has been invested at the early stage of 2011. The annual capacities of the base are 60,000 and it will reach 400,000 during “twelve five” period each year. 

Sinotruk has successfully cooperated with MAN in 2010 besides that it has expanded the capacities at South West area. Sinotruk has gained the advanced technologies by the cooperation with MAN. It has initiated Fujian Haixi Auto program to march to South East Asia market with investment of 200 million Euros at Nov of 2010.
