Sales of commercial vehicles drags sales of auto markets in 2011
www.chinatrucks.com: CAAM released auto sales data recently, and 1,841,890 cars and 1,850,510 cars were produced and sold in 2011, up 0.84% and 2.45%, in which, 3,933,600 and 4,032,700 commercial vehicles were produced and sold, down 9.94% and 6.31%.
And 18,264,700 cars and 18,061,900 cars were produced and sold in 2010, up 32.44% and 32.37%. And 4,367,600 commercial vehicles and 4,304,100 units were produced and sold, up 28.19% and 29.90%.
We can see from the data that sales of passenger cars and commercial vehicles are still increasing although the sales growth are decreasing. However, sales of commercial vehicles are decreasing, which also dragged sales of auto industry.
