Troy Clarke, President of Navistar in Asia-Pacific area, told the press that Navistar is undergoing a "Super Truck" project during Auto Shanghai 2011, and the fuel cunsumption can be saved for 50% by its Maxxforce and related technology.

American Department of Energy and Navistar will invest 37 million USD and 52 million USD respectively to conduct research and development jobs on truck aerodynamics, engine combustion efficiency, waste heat recovery as well as hybrid power.
In US, heavy trucks freight shoulder 70% of all cargo as well as 80% diesel, so control of truck diesel is rather important for US to save logistics costs and oil resources.
