Sales of commercial vehicles down 8.8% in March
www.chinatrucks.com: CAAM released production and sales data in March, and 424,800 commercial vehicles were produced in March, up 22.35%; 438,600 units were sold in March, up 23.92%. Production and sales of commercial vehicles were 1,013,100 units and 1,019,000 units, down 11.40% and 10.60%.
Sales growth of semi-trailer tractors decreased in March, and sales of other truck models are increasing. 297,400 cargo vans and 310,200 units were produced and sold, up 23.44% and 25.26% over that of Feb. and down 1.16% and 4.45% over last year. 26,700 semi-trailer tractors were produced and sold, and 26,100 units were sold, up 2.61% and 0.96% over Feb.
And 700,200 cargo vans and 714,900 units were produced and sold in Jan. to March, down 8.93% and 6.75% over last year. 66,600 semi-trailer tractors and 17,700 units were produced and sold, down 6.24% and 4.93% over last year.
