Volvo Trucks to release LNG engine in 2014

www.chinatrucks.com: According to reports by European media 4wheelsnews, Volvo Trucks plans to release a 13L LNG engine in 2014 to North America markets. And they will also debut a new natural gas fuel, DME.
Given the rising costs for fuel and pressure to raise efficiency, Volvo is considering to add LNG as a substitute for current CNG. The new engine can improve efficiency and reduce emissile of CO2 with no torque or power wasted.
Volvo Trucks has proved their ability by adopting seven different fuels in 2007, said Ron Huibers, president of Volvo Trucks in North America.
