Zhengzhou Perfects Natural Gas Station Network
www.chinatrucks.com :In the first four months of the year, 2335 units of vehicle received modification to be able to consume natural gas in the city of Zhengzhou. About this trend, we have a lot of questions, and the company who is in charge of the project held a press conference to answer all the questions.
Now, vehicle emitted pollutants has become one of the three major sources of pollution in the city, said the vice manager of the company. So, it is of great importance to carry out the project as soon as possible.
He also said, as the investigation report shows, natural gas is a much better energy source than petrol or diesel. After the project is carried out, the pollution in the city will be further relieved.
By the end of 2012, the total amount of LNG and CNG vehicles have well passed 20000 units. And the number is expected to reach 30000 by the end of this year.
As we learned, there are now 30 CNG stations in the city, which could meet the requirement of all the natural gas vehicles. The refueling station network is expected to be more perfect this year.
Whether all the vehicles are suitable for modification for natural gas? The professional said that the medium and high end vehicles are not advised to receive such modifications, because the operation might bring forward some unexpected problems to vehicles.
Also, vehicles of low using rates are not advised to receive modifications, because the operation is relatively costly. Also vehicles of longer history are not advised to receive modifications.
