Trial Sale of China Ⅳ-compliant ROWOR Medium Truck
www.chinatrucks.com: On July 1, 2013, Beijing Municipal Environmental Protection Bureau (BJEPB) issues No. 103 (2013) document which requires heavy-duty (HD) gasoline and diesel vehicles should conform to the fourth stage emission standard. Currently, Beijing conducts the China Ⅳ standard for HD commercial vehicles. Trucks compliant with the standard now begin to come out. According to journalist of Chinatrucks.com, Foton’s ROWOR medium truck with Commins motor is on trial sale from July 10, 2013.
Lightweight design with good stability and security
According to Foton, the coming truck compliant with China Ⅳ is 1P22AP4102S(QB) which is under deep cooperation with Commins, Fastre and Shougang Group. It adopts R2200A half suspension body, Commins motor, Fastre gearbox, Shougang’s 610 alloy steel, 1098-X drive axle. The high-quality medium truck, equipped with world-class top power—ISF3.8L motor, is developed targeted at urban and intercity transportation and compliant with Euro Ⅳ emission standard. It is leading in terms of comfort, reliability, power, bearing, security, and efficiency of fuel consumption.

ROWOR medium truck compliant with China Ⅳ standard
The truck adopts R2200A half suspension body with small wind drag, high speed, and fuel saving. The huge driving room and passenger car design as well as air bag decoupling seat make it more comfortable and safe. The highest speed under an empty status is 117Km/h and that under full load is 80-100Km/h.
Fastre 8-speed automatic transmission makes driving more comfortable.
Its frame uses Shougang Group’s B610L alloy steel which is light weighted but with super strong bearing capacity. The width of frame is 865mm, the widest one of the same kind in China. Its smoothness and sound stability under full load and cornering stability are of the best. Load sensing proportional valve on the right inside ensure an appropriate proportion of drive axle’s bearing and a smooth and effective braking. The front axle is 3.2-ton casting axle and drive axle is 9-ton casting axle. The bearing capacity is increased, with front axle brake 400×130 and drive axle brake 420×155. The casting chassis base makes brake more effective.
At the same time, the truck tank is produced by ROWOR itself, featured by light weight, leading technique and intensity, and no rust due to the cathode electrophoresis technique.
Effective and economic Commins motors
The truck uses the world-leading Commins ISF3.8 motor, the lightest, smallest but strongest one of its same kind. The maximum torch reaches 600 N.m, 50% higher than that of the same kind.
As the largest worldwide supplier, Commins has been leading ahead of Chinese brands in motor’s technology, technique, performance and quality. Commins motors passes through “three highs” (high temperature, high coldness and high plateau) extreme condition tests. It can be used at any time, any area with strong adoptability. It is characterized by sound reliability, high quality, low maintenance and usage costs.
Commins motor power reaches 125kw (168hp) with maximum torch 600N.m and maximum velocity of 117km/h.
The motor is also renouwned for good economic efficiency. The fuel supply system is controlled by a computer thus the injection is more accurate and fuel burning is more sufficient. It can save fuel around 25,000 RMB every year. The motor is compliant with Europe Ⅳ emission standard and could be upgraded to China V and Europe VI standards. It will not troubled by emission regulations within 10 years.
The launch of brand new ROWOR light truck with Commins motor will lead China’s logistics industry into a new era, demonstrating its valuable, profitable and safe features.
