President of Yuchai Group Received by Thailand Prime Minister

Chen Wu briefly introduces the 10th China-ASEAN Expo and invites Prime Minister Yingluck to attend the expo. He says that 2013 is the 10th anniversary of strategic partnership between China and ASEAN, and also the 10th anniversary of China-ASEAN Expo and Business and Investment Summit. Guangxi as an organizer sincerely invites and welcomes Prime Minister to attend the expo and strengthen communication with Thailand to make better preparation.

Chen Wu says that Prime Minister Yingluck attaches great importance to and gives much support to Sino-Thai cooperation and makes a consensus with Chinese leaders during her visit in April 2012 to advance Sino-Thai relations to a comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership, which points out a clear direction for the cooperation between Guangxi and Thailand. Guangxi and Thailand share similar language and common customs and have a lot of exchanges since ancient times. In particularly, Guangxi and Thailand have many proactive exchange and cooperation in terms of trade, culture, education and so on. Guangxi will further enhance exchange and cooperation with Thailand in above sectors. It is believed that Guangxi and Thailand will achieve significant progress in friendship and cooperation.
Prime Minister Yingluck welcomes Chen Wu and his delegation and accepts the invitation to attend China-ASEAN Expo. Yingluck says that Thailand and China have been maintaining close ties in both international and regional affairs. Last years, leaders of both countries determined to advance the bilateral relationship to a comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership and signed the second strategic cooperative action plan and a five-year plan for business and trade cooperation. Guangxi delegation’s visit and a series of activities such as commodity fair, introduction event and culture road shows will definitely promote the bilateral relations and push forward all-around cooperation between Thailand and Guangxi. Thailand pays special attention to strengthen mutual visits of high level management, corporation cooperation and cultural exchanges, especially the Guangxi’s position and role in building relations between ASEAN and China. Yingluck expresses hopes to further the communication between the two sides and explore cooperation in larger dimension and deeper layer. Thailand welcomes Guangxi companies to invest in Thailand and will continue to stimulate Thai companies to seek for development in Guangxi.
In the same day, 2013 Guangxi Commodity Fair (Thailand) is grandly open in Bangkok, the first time in Thailand. Chen Wu together with his delegation attends the fair and declares the opening of the fair. Ex Prime Minister Somchai, representatives from Chinese and Thailand enterprises, local all walks of life are also present at the opening ceremony. The fair is co-organized by Guangxi Zhuang Ethnic Autonomous Government and Commerce Department of Thailand. 105 Guangxi powerful and typical manufacturers, old and famous shops, and leading companies showcases their latest results at the fair. 31 Thailand enterprises display products at the fair.
