Sinotruk Signed Strategic Cooperative Agreement with Beiyu Special-Purpose Vehicle
www.chinatrucks.com: On Oct.12, Sinotruk signed a strategic cooperative agreement with Shanxi Beiyu Special-Purpose regarding HD truck's "petroleum diverted to gas" project. Vice general manager of Sinotruk Yu Youde attends and addresses at the ceremony. Local officials of Datong also show up at the ceremony.
In his speech, Yu Youde says that as cradle of Chinese heavy duty vehicle industry Sinotruk has been focused on R&D of heavy duty trucks and accumulated to produce almost one million units HD trucks, contributing a lot to the construction of national defense and economy. Today, it has become a commercial vehicle group with products covering many fields such as heavy duty trucks, medium duty trucks, light duty trucks, buses, special vehicles, and engineering vehicles. It has always been adhering to the strategy of advanced technology, leading the development of Chinese heavy duty truck industry, especially the LNG engine sector. Sinotruk is the earliest company to research natural gas engine in cooperation with American EControls.

Beiyu is a successful special purpose vehicle enterprise in Shanxi province and holds national qualification of special vehicles manufacturing. Over recent years, it has been engaged in logistic special vehicles and cultivate good marketing capability, R&D and management level. It has ranked in top ten Chinese logistic vehicle companies within only a few years.
Yu Youde stresses that the "petroleum diverted to natural gas" project integrates the strengths of both sides and plays a significant role to the truck industry in Shanxi. According to the project, Sinotruk will provide related technologies and components, while Beiyu is in charge of assembly of vehicles. The two sides set up its own service stations to provide related after-sales services and ensure the safe and stable operation of vehicles.
In the speech, deputy major Wang Kejian says that the cooperation of Sinotruk and Beiyu will contribute to the "petroleum diverted to natural gas" project in Datong and the reassembled vehicles will be environmental friendly and save more costs. It is of great economic efficiency and social efficiency. Datong municipal government will as always give support to the development of Sinotruk in Datong and hopes Sinotruk provides more support in capital, technology and personnel to boost the development of related industries by upgrading products.
