70th Anniversary of FAW Jiefang Wuxi Diesel
www.chinatrucks.com: At the end of 2013, FAW Jiefang Automotive Co., Ltd Wuxi Diesel Engine Factory (FAW Jiefang Wuxi Diesel) celebrates its 70th anniversary and organizes a "Chinese Power Expertise Forum". The ceremony invites many experts from CAAM, combustion engine professionals, scholars, leaders from FAW, distributors, suppliers, users and Wuxi Diesel staff.
At the event, industrial experts, along with the introduction on the 70-year history of FAW Jiefang Wuxi Diesel, summarize the development of diesel engine industry and research results and discuss the current problems and solutions as well as future trends.
2013 is the 60 anniversary of Chinese auto industry and also the 70 anniversary of FAW Jiefang Wuxi Diesel. Any industry would not make progress without the lead of a pioneer. Wuxi Diesel is the leader of Chinese combustion engine industry. With constant hard work and long strive, Wuxi Diesel produced in a row Chinese first steel-free diesel engine, wind-cooled diesel engine and many other No.1s in engine industry till becomes a leading producer of combustion engines in China.
Wuxi Diesel is production base of FAW heavy duty diesel engines. Since combined into FAW, Wuxi Diesel has been providing power products for FAW Jiefang trucks.
In 2003, "Aowei" engine came out and led Chinese MD and HD commercial vehicle engine towards a new stage of quality. Since then, the situation that Chinese high-level heavy diesel engine was largely confined to foreign brands has come to an end.
Over recent years, Chinese commercial vehicle and spare parts industries grow fast. On the occasion of 70th anniversary, Wuxi Diesel invites many industrial experts and scholars to attend its "Chinese Power Experts Forum", in which, experience and research results are shared and current problems and solutions as well as future development are discussed.
Wuxi Diesel today has become a company with rich engine products, covering 40-500hp engines. Wuxi Diesel is a R&D, production and reassembly base of FAW in east China area. Its production facility in Huishan plant is all low-carbon. Its international leading, automatic and flexible production line facilitate Wuxi Diesel to produce high-level products.
