Dongfeng Reports 170,000 Units Sales in 2013
www.chinatrucks.com: Latest data shows Dongfeng sells more than 16400 units of medium and heavy truck in December 2013, up by 58.2% year on year and 6.5% over last month. From January to December, the sales volume of medium and heavy trucks accumulates to over 170,000 units, up by 16.1% year on year, remaining the No.1 in the industry.
From January to December, Dongfeng sells 51000 units of medium trucks, up by 12% year on year; it sells 120600 units of heavy trucks, up by 18% year on year. Dongfeng’s China 4-compliant product maintains a good rising trend and keeps ahead of other in the industry. In addition, the aftermarket grows very fast and contributes to a 7% growth rate in sales of spare parts.
On January 26 2013, Dongfeng and Volvo reach a strategic alliance. On October 30, Dongfeng signs a brand promotion agreement with Volvo Ocean Race Management Company and names a Dongfeng Ship to participate the race.
In 2014, Dongfeng will come to a new stage in which its globalization strategy will be further accelerated.
