State Council Office Launches Scheme to Eliminate Six Million Vehicles below National 3 Emission Sta
www.chinatrucks.com: State Council Office launched "2014-2015 Energy-saving and Emission Reduction Action Plan" on May 26 which demands to eliminate six million vehicles below national 3 emission standards by the end of 2014, and 20% of which are in Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei province.
The vehicles below national 3 emission standards are heavily polluted and they are also called Yellow-labeled for there is yellow sign on the vehicles. And the Action Plan also rules that yellow-labeled vehicles registered before 2005 have to be eliminated before the end of 2015, and over five million yellow -labeled vehicles in Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei province, Yangtze River Delta, Zhu River Delta will be eliminated by then.
The severe mist and polluted air have pressed societies of all circles to improve fuel quality since this year, and the Action Plan rules that petrol with national 4 emission standard will be supplied by the end of this year and by the end of 2015, petrols and gasolines with national 5 emission standard will be supplied in key cities in Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei province, Yangtze River Delta, Zhu River Delta etc, areas.
