HD Truck Deliveries Down by 7%
www.chinatrucks.com: In August, China heavy truck market delivered 48,000 units totally, down by 5% over last month and down by 7% year on year. From Jan to Aug, deliveries of heavy trucks registered 527,600 units, up by 5% earlier-year.
The top 3 makers, the deliveries of Dongfeng, Sinotruk and Faw were 10 thousand units, 8 thousand and 8 thousand in sequence in August, up by 24%, down by 11% and 20% respectively. Foton delivered 6.4 thousand units of heavy trucks, down by 25%; Shacman delivered 7.2 thousand units of heavy-duty vehicles, up by 4%; JAC in the third floor was rising the most up to 40% which deliveries was 3.1 thousand units. The sales volumes of SAIC-IVECO Hongyan, CAMC and Beiben were 1,235 units, 1,107 units and 800 units, down by 26%, 27% and 29% respectively year on year.
From Jan to Aug, Dongfeng totally delivered 106,800 units of heavy-duty trucks, up by 3% year on year which stayed in the NO.1 on the sales ranking. The NO.2 Sinotruk totally delivered heavy trucks 855,000 units, up by 6% earlier-year. The third company FAW sold 83,700 units of heavy trucks, up by 1% over last year. The NO.4 and NO.5, Foton and Shacman totally sold 77,800 units and 76,500 units respectively, up by 5% and 15% compared with 2013. And JAC stays in the first growth of the top 10 companies which deliveries was 30,000 units and up by 36%. The deliveries growth of Hongyan, CAMC and Beiben all declined, were -1%, -14% and -39% respectively.
