China Truck Market Keeps Gloomy
www.chinatrucks.com: It’s been summer in major China, but the slack sales for China truck markets continues.
Sales of light trucks decreased by 20% in the first quarter over last year, and sales of heavy trucks decreased by 30% over last year, and the sales of truck in April is still rather sluggish. According to data released by CAAM, sales of cargo van, including semi-trailer tractors and chassis, decreased 19.8% over last year, and the sales of heavy trucks decreased by 33.31% and sales of medium truck decreased by 32.64% and sales of light trucks decreased by 14.9%, and sales of mini trucks decreased by 6.66%.
According to our survey by visiting many dealers, the situation is much worse.
And we have interviewed a senior management of a truck maker, and he said that their sales of heavy trucks amount to 10,000 units in Inner Mongolia in 2011, and the sales have been decreasing even since, and the sales this year is rather bad, for the sales of steels and coal industry keep decreasing which is a big blow for transport industry.
