World First 35-ton Dual Power Articulated Truck Rolls off
www.chinatrucks.com: The world first 35-ton dual power articulated truck rolled off the production line recently, which is jointly developed by Shandong Gold Engineering Company and University of Science and Technology Beijing.
It is learnt that this is the first application of wheel electric drive technology on trackless transportation equipment in the world. This truck is powered by oil-fed generator without the assembly components such as torque converter, transmission, differential mechanism, drive shaft and main retarder. Such technological leap makes maintenance much easier and more economical.
This truck integrates the advanced technology achievements in the field of world trackless equipment, breaking the traditional driving methods of generators on underground trackless transportation equipment. It makes the precedent of new application and the performance of the whole set reaches the world leading level.
