Volvo Becomes the Official Supplier of McLaren Honda F1 Fleet
www.chinatrucks.com: McLaren Honda F1 Fleet declared that Volvl became its official supplier on February 17th, 2016. McLaren Honda F1 Fleet will use the most advanced Volvo FH series trucks for its service and logistics transportation of its contest during the cooperation period of 4 years.
Volvo will provide 24 FH540 trucks wo McLaren Honda F1 Fleet. Those trucks which are equipped with 13-liter Europe Ⅵ engine will have cockpit of 3 different sizes, including standard cockpit, ultra-high cockpit and low-roof cockpit, to meet the service demand of different contest sites in European countries.
Volvo has the first-class research & development group. Many advanced technologies which can only be seen on passenger cars can also be seen on brand new Volvo FH truck which is the flagship truck mode. Such as, the brand new dual-clutch transmission matched with I—shift, dynamic steering and front dependent suspension, etc., which makes that new-generation FH truck can provide incomparable maneuverability when it is compared with other trucks.
Jonathan Neale, the first CEO of McLaren Group, said that they felt very pleased that they can cooperate with Volvo. The innovative and high-performance heavy-duty goods transportation solutions made Volvo became the official supplier of McLaren Honda F1 Fleet. Both McLaren and Volvo has high status in their respective industry, and both of them has been operated more than 80 years. He is also expecting the first truck delivered by new Volvo FH fleet in April, and improving logistics transportation solutions with Volvo together.
