The next generation of Jiefang J7 will be developed towards the market change and expected to launch in 2018.

 

According to J7 leaks spread in the Internet, Jiefang J7 is a 6x4 truck. According to the announcement, Jiefang J7 has two options of engines, 11L CA6DM2 (420hp and 460hp) and 13L CA6DM3 (500hp). The most important is that the total weight of Jiefang J7 is 8.8 tons, which can be regarded as a lightweight trailer in the main 6X4 trucks. Added a 500 horsepower engine, we can see that J7 is a new heavy-duty truck that FAW Jiefang carefully developed for customers.     

  

Except the lightweight, all the new heavy-duty trucks with larger power were being developed.  The max power of Jiefang J7 reached 500hp, with an option of 420hp and 460hp.
