A Preview on Heavy Trucks to be displayed at Shanghai Autoshow 2017

 

3 new truck builders in heavy-duty truck segment are to launch products

 

On April 19, 2017, JMC will launch the first Ford-engine powered tractor. According to previous reporting, the tractor was developed with core technologies introduced from Ford Cargo truck displayed on engine, cab and chassis.

 

Furthermore, other products to be displayed also include: 6x4 heavy duty dumper in bright yellow will make its debut on public day; the world's first transformer heavy truck-- 4x2 transformer coating truck and the first concept racing vehicle. 
 

 

Qingling & Isuzu will display full range of VC61 heavy trucks and holds a press release for its new heavy-duty truck, known as GIGA, with 6WG1 and 6UZ1 engines available. 6WG1-TCG50 engine will have the country’s largest displacement in heavy truck market as its displacement is as high as 15.6L and the maximum output power is higher than 500hp. Such a high horsepower makes is well worthy of its name GIGA. 

 

On JAC's brand day 2017, it reveals many details of GALLOP K7 heavy truck, arising more expectation from truck users. The new K7 features with an overall dimension of 6940mm×2530mm×3850mm, a wheelbase of 3300mm+1350mm, a weight of 8800kg, a minimum ground clearance of 230mm, 12R22.5 tire, 700L fuel tank, and a total weight of 49,000kg. In configuration, K7 flagship model uses MAN's MC13 engine of SINOTRUK, with a maximum horsepower of 540hp, compliant with China National Ⅴ emission standard. The fuel consumption test shows that it consumes only 35L/100km 

 

Despite debut on JAC's brand day 2016, K7 is never unveiled in public, stimulating much desire for customers. On April 19, GALLOP K5 and K7 will show up at the same time. 

 

4 heavy truck builders compete against each other at Shanghai Autoshow 

 

In addition to the three builders mentioned above, SINOTRUK, Foton, SAIC-Hongyan and Sichuan Hyundai will showcase their highlighted products in Shanghai Autoshow.

2. Foton Auman

How could super truck miss such a grand event in automotive industry? Sources say Foton will showcase its Auman EST-A Super truck including intelligent version and the one equipped with Mercedes-Benz engine. 

 

 

It is learned from chinatrucks.com that SAIC-Hongyan will display two star products: Jieshi C500 4x2 tractor and C500 8x4 centre-axle cargo truck. C500 4x2 tractor has a large horsepower, equips with CURSOS engine that is roughly the same as Europe in technology, FPT Fiat technology based Hongyan integrated axle and GEN-star management system. C500 8x4 middle-axle cargo truck following advanced European design is a brand new road truck developed on the mature platform of Jieshi tractor in strict accordance with IVECO heavy truck technology and procedure to perform an optimization on the entire vehicle. 

 

Sichuan Hyundai will focus on the release of its light truck “QTc”. In total, Sichuan Hyundai will display 7 new and old products including buses and trucks. The heavy truck is a silver high-roof TRAGO 6x2 tractor with 480hp (rear lifting axle).
