CATL’s Battery Industrial Base Broke Ground in Shandong
Contemporary Amperex Technology Co., Limited (CATL), a global leader in lithium-ion battery development and manufacturing, started construction of its battery industrial base in Shandong Province.
On Saturday (December 24), a meeting was held in Yanzhou District, Jining City to move the New Energy Battery Industrial Base project forward.
Three projects including New Energy Battery Industrial Base Project, 1.1GW Fishery Light Complementary National Large-scale Photovoltaic Power Generation Base Project and CATL’s first heavy-duty truck exchange power station project broke ground at the same time.
With a total investment of no more than RMB 14 billion, CATL will build the production line for power battery system and energy storage system on a 2,000 mu planned site. Meanwhile, CATL will also work with Jining City to promote battery manufacturing, centralized photovoltaic, energy storage power plants, power exchange platforms, ship manufacturing and other projects.
