Daimler Trucks and Buses Signs Deal with XCMG Fire Fighting
Daimler Trucks and Buses (China) Ltd. and XCMG Fire-fighting Safety Equipment Co. Ltd. held a signing ceremony in Xuzhou. According to the deal, both parties will seek further cooperation and innovation in the field of the fire fighting based on the new generation of Arocs products to provide complete and systematic solutions for customers. After the signing ceremony, the two sides held a product technology seminar to discuss in depth the details for the technical implementation of future new products and customized modification technology solutions.

Daniel Zittel, CEO of Daimler Trucks (China) Co., Ltd. said, "Mercedes-Benz Trucks has been serving the fire fighting industry in China for nearly 30 years and has rich experience in this field. Over the years, we have also developed close cooperation with domestic firefighting professional refit factory. This in-depth cooperation with XCMG Fire is an important landmark. It not only represents the beautiful vision of guarding the world that these two industry-leading brands are working together to achieve, but also signifies that both parties will use each other's superior technical strength to develop more new products that lead the industry, thus promoting the further development of the fire rescue industry."

Li Qianjin, Assistant President of XCMG Machinery and General Manager of XCMG Fire Fighting, said: “We have worked with Mercedes-Benz for 28 years and have experienced the change in emissions from Euro II to Euro VI and the continuous upgrading of Mercedes-Benz products. During this period, XCMG fire trucks also realized the iteration and upgrading but always choose Mercedes-Benz chassis. “

With the signing of the agreement, the cooperation between the two parties will further expand to product development, vehicle co-production. The next step of the cooperation is to launch a new fire truck product, which will be based on the chassis of the latest generation product, Arocs, and will be equipped with the most powerful engine of Mercedes-Benz trucks, OM 473, with a maximum horsepower of 630hp, to ensure sufficient power for the upper part. This will further promote technological innovation and breakthroughs in the fire fighting vehicle industry to meet the demand for diversified products in the fire fighting field.
