CATL Ranked First in 2023 EV Battery Consumption Volume for 7 Years
According to SNE Research, the total global battery consumption amounted to 705.5 GWh in 2023 with an increase of 38.6% year on year. CATL ranked first with a global battery consumption of 259.7 GWh, up 40.8% from 2022, and its market share reached 36.8%, 21% higher than the second place. This is the seventh year that CATL has ranked first in the power battery market. With the strong support of its partners in the global new energy industry chain, CATL has become the only battery manufacturer in the world with a market share of more than 30%.
