CATL and COSCO SHIPPING reach strategic cooperation agreement
China COSCO SHIPPING Corporation Limited (COSCO SHIPPING Group) signed a strategic cooperation agreement with CATL in Shanghai.
According to the Agreement, the two parties will make full use of their respective strengths for in-depth cooperation in shipping, whole-process supply chain, digitalization, sustainable development, new energy application and overseas business, and continuously enhance the comprehensive competitiveness and global market position of both parties to achieve mutual benefit and win-win results.
COSCO SHIPPING Group is the world's largest integrated shipping service provider, with its shipping routes extending to more than 1,500 ports in more than 160 countries and regions, and a fleet of more than 1,400 vessels. At present, driven by the goal of “peaking carbon emissions and achieving carbon neutrality,” COSCO SHIPPING Group is focusing on digital intelligence empowerment and green and sustainable development, and making every effort to establish an integrated service system of “shipping + ports + logistics,” so as to build a green and intelligent logistics supply chain service ecosystem globally, and create a world-class innovative shipping enterprise.
With the signing of the strategic cooperation agreement, CATL will give full play to its leading edge in core new energy technologies, and work together with COSCO SHIPPING Group to seize the opportunity of achieving carbon neutrality, so as to accelerate the decarbonization of domestic and international shipping and shipbuilding industries and lead the green shipping development.
