Russia's AMT NV to Team up with SAIC Hongyan
The AMT NV plant is built in imitation to Iveco plant in Madrid, Spain with a design capability of 5,000 trucks per year.
MT NV has been a partner of JAC since 2022 and together they have assembled 188 JAC N350 dump trucks.
Currently, AMT NV is supplied with a complete cab and powertrain by its new partner, Hongyan, but starting in the second half of the year, it will begin welding and painting, among other things.
As for logistics, it is claimed that Hongyan trucks arrives in Russia from China by rail along various routes, including via Mongolia and Kazakhstan.
It is known that the complete production cycle for AMT NV to assemble a Hongyan truck takes 100-110 days from the time the parts order are placed. However, if the parts are in stock in Russia, the cycle can be reduced to 12-14 days.
Currently, the two sides come to an agreement on six areas, including technical cooperation, supply of design documents, accessories, branding, services and guarantees.
As to whether AMT NV and SAIC Hongyan will form a joint venture based on past experience? Still, we cannot rule it out.
