SINOTRUK’s "Cab CKD Factory” Commenced Production in Nigeria
Recently, the launch ceremony of the "Cab CKD Factory," the Dangote Sinotruk West Africa Ltd Phase II project, was successfully held in Lagos. The event was attended by the representatives from Nigerian national and local governments including the Senate President of Nigeria, Godswill Akpabio, the Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo Olu, as well as close to 1000 prominent figures from politics, business, and media journalists.
As Nigeria's and even Africa's first fully knocked-down (CKD) production line for medium and heavy-duty truck cabins, this facility integrates assembly processes locally including welding, electrophoresis, painting, interior fittings, and final assembly through the way of CKD. This milestone signifies a significant technological advancement in Nigeria's commercial vehicle manufacturing sector, marking a shift towards green and sustainable development in the traditional manufacturing industry.

After the project is formally put into commercial operation, it will drive local employment and government tax revenue, stimulate the local commercial vehicle industry chain, cultivate the talent pool in the field of heavy-duty trucks, and reduce the overall vehicle manufacturing costs through the way of CKD assembly, thus benefiting the local economy and promoting the sustainable development of people's livelihood.
SINOTRUK, a leading Chinese heavy-duty truck maker, has achieved significant progress in Nigeria through technological innovation, excellent products and services. With a commitment to excellence, SINOTRUK is expanding its global footprint and gaining substantial ground globally.
