SHACMAN L4 Autonomous Trucks Successfully Delivered in Etuoke Banner
On August 20, 2024, the largest batch of new energy L4 autonomous trucks in the region was officially delivered in Etuoke Banner. This delivery includes 100 L4 autonomous trucks, marking a significant milestone for autonomous driving technology in the area.
The Ordos Group received these trucks, and in addition, Carl Power, Shaanxi Heavy Truck, and CIMC Vehicles have deepened their collaboration by signing a strategic cooperation agreement for 1,000 intelligent connected convoy trucks, setting a new record for the largest order in the industry.

At the delivery ceremony, we showcased the world’s first fully redundant autonomous convoy truck—the Shaanxi Delong—Carl Navigation. This vehicle is equipped with 5 LiDARs, 6 millimeter-wave radars, and 13 cameras, and features the world’s highest computing power platform and a million-kilometer fail-safe positioning system. These advanced features ensure the truck’s safety on the road and achieve the goals of autonomous driving and unmanned convoy operation.

Compared to single-vehicle autonomous driving technology, autonomous convoy technology offers faster deployment advantages. By relying on the leading vehicle, the convoy can effectively handle complex road conditions and enhance driving safety.

Currently, the convoy equipped with Carl Navigation technology can operate in a 1-to-many autonomous truck convoy mode. Only the lead vehicle has a safety officer, while the following vehicles can operate safely in an unmanned state. The delivery of these autonomous trucks is a positive step for Etuoke Banner in promoting unmanned production concepts and developing new productive forces.
Autonomous driving and intelligent networking represent cutting-edge technologies in advanced and new productive forces. We aim to use AI technology to innovate the logistics industry and reduce overall logistics costs, which is a key future development direction.
Etuoke Banner has now established the country’s first integrated "autonomous heavy truck + autonomous mining truck" freight logistics and city-level comprehensive autonomous driving application scenario. With continued technological advancements and accelerated commercialization, the autonomous freight market in Etuoke Banner is set to see even greater growth.
