Powering the Future: Cummins Collaborates with Industry Leaders at CIIE
The 7th China International Import Expo (CIIE) is currently underway in Shanghai, with a spotlight on “New Productive Power” and a showcase of future-leading products, technologies, and services. As a leader in power technology, Cummins is presenting its flagship brand, Accelera, and engaging with industry leaders to explore the future of technology and partnerships.
A Greener Future: Cummins' Accelera Drives Zero-Carbon Transport
At this year’s expo, Cummins introduced its latest Accelera HD150 fuel cell product, demonstrating its potential to advance zero-emission transport and underscoring Cummins' commitment to a green energy transition. In July, trucks powered by the HD150 fuel cell began operations in a zero-carbon transport project in Shanghai's Pudong district, serving manufacturers and port logistics. These vehicles not only achieve zero emissions but also enhance performance and cost efficiency. Cummins’ HD120 fuel cell also powers Shanghai's public buses and urban waste collection vehicles. To date, Cummins' hydrogen-powered vehicles in China have covered over 16 million safe kilometers.

Cummins also highlighted its high-performance electric drive system at CIIE. The NextGen 1CS2022 motor features rapid acceleration, low noise, and vibration control, achieving a sustained efficiency of 97%. Additionally, the ELFA3 V3 controller is equipped with advanced over-voltage protection and secure cable connectors, enhancing equipment safety.
Win-Win Partnerships: Cummins Strengthens Industry Alliances

On November 6, Cummins signed a framework agreement for 2025-2026 with Inner Mongolia North to continue providing high-quality power solutions for open-pit mining equipment. This collaboration, spanning nearly four decades, encompasses technological innovation, environmental solutions, hybrid power systems, and more. The new agreement will help Inner Mongolia North improve operational efficiency, reduce costs, and support sustainable growth in mining.

Cummins also renewed its agreement with China Energy Investment for 2024-2025. Since 2020, Cummins has supplied over 5,000 parts through China Energy’s E-Purchase platform, significantly reducing supply times and gaining customer trust. Cummins' engine overhaul solutions integrate digital monitoring, enabling real-time tracking, fault prediction, and optimized overhaul intervals to help customers lower costs and maximize uptime.

During CIIE, Cummins also signed an agreement with State Grid East Inner Mongolia Material & Equipment Corporation, marking another milestone in their 20-year collaboration. The partnership focuses on high standards, rapid response, and effective communication to ensure timely customer solutions and sustained growth for both companies.

In celebration of Baogang Group's 70th anniversary, Cummins renewed its strategic cooperation agreement with the steel company. Cummins will continue to support Baogang’s competitiveness through technological innovation, supply chain optimization, and sustainability initiatives. The launch of an "Offshore Bonded Maintenance" pilot project reflects both companies' commitment to open and innovative collaboration.

On November 7, Cummins signed a 2024-2025 procurement agreement with Beijing China Coal Construction Group Machinery Equipment Co., Ltd. The partnership aims to enhance operational efficiency, reduce costs, and cut emissions. Through the overhaul of QSK50 engines and upgrades to cooling systems, both companies are committed to carbon reduction goals and are exploring solutions for hybrid mining trucks to help customers lower operating costs.
Looking forward, Cummins will continue to collaborate with industry leaders to drive the green energy transition, aiming for a more efficient, clean, and sustainable future in industrial development.
