Automechanika Shanghai 2024 Set to Open on December 2nd
The 2024 Automechanika Shanghai will take place from December 2nd to 5th at the National Exhibition and Convention Center in Shanghai. Celebrating its 20th anniversary, this year's event carries the theme "Innovation, Integration, and Sustainable Development." The exhibition aims to highlight the role of technological innovation in advancing the industry and to provide a comprehensive platform for global participants to exchange information, promote the industry, and offer business and educational services. The event also focuses on supporting the automotive industry’s shift toward green, low-carbon, and sustainable growth.
Since its inception in 2004, Automechanika Shanghai has witnessed the deep integration of China’s automotive industry with the global market, as China has become the world’s largest producer and consumer of vehicles, with imports and exports of auto parts increasing year by year. Today, with the continued advancement of intelligent connected and new energy vehicle technologies, the automotive industry has entered a new era of competition based on brand, technology, supply chains, and services.

This year, the exhibition will span 350,000 square meters and feature over 6,700 companies from around the world. The display will cover every aspect of the automotive industry, including parts, new energy, smart connectivity technologies, accessories and tuning, repair tools, and tires. Additionally, the event will showcase the role of circular economy and digital solutions in industry transformation with dedicated sections for remanufactured parts and industry services. Over 2,000 exhibitors will present products related to the new energy sector, with 26,000 square meters dedicated to new energy and smart connectivity, featuring 450 exhibitors showing advanced green technologies, including electric vehicle systems, fuel cells, charging infrastructure, autonomous driving, and intelligent chassis and cockpit solutions.
In terms of exhibition groups, Changzhou, Jiangsu will make its debut, showcasing its rapidly developing innovations in power batteries, energy storage, photovoltaic storage, and charging infrastructure. The Longquan Automotive Parts and Thermal Management Industry Association will also present the latest products and system solutions from local companies. The German Pavilion will bring over 20 overseas companies, including BASF, MAHLE, and SEG Automotive, to display cutting-edge products and technologies.

Other notable exhibitors include ABT, YAKIMA, BorgWarner, Continental, Cummins, Michelin, and more.

Automechanika Shanghai will highlight the role of technological innovation in driving the automotive industry forward through its diverse exhibits, cutting-edge product displays, and forum activities. A total of 81 events will take place during the exhibition, gathering over 400 industry experts to discuss topics such as digital transformation, sustainable development, automotive AI, and cross-border investments. The event will also host the "International Automotive Talent Development Forum" and a "Green Maintenance Concept Pavilion," focusing on talent acquisition, industry-education integration, and more.

Additionally, a "Yangtze River Delta Automotive Industry Tour" will offer attendees the chance to visit automotive hubs in Shanghai, Changzhou, and Hefei to experience the latest technological advancements. Special themed tour routes, covering energy, intelligent driving, automotive services, and lifestyle, will also be available.
As the event approaches, pre-registrations from regions like the Americas, the Middle East, and Asia have significantly increased, with new international delegations from countries such as the Netherlands, Albania, Kazakhstan, and Spain.
