WEICHAI Unveils Two New Heavy Truck Power Solutions
At the 2025 Weichai Global Partners Conference, Weichai launched two groundbreaking products designed specifically for the heavy truck market: the WP16NG4.0 Natural Gas Engine and the B2A Power Battery for Trucks. These innovations showcase Weichai’s commitment to technological advancement and market expansion, further cementing its leadership in the heavy truck power sector.
WP16NG4.0: Breaking the Global Horsepower Record
The WP16NG4.0 is a natural gas engine built for high-power applications, such as long-haul transport and challenging terrains like mountainous regions. With a staggering 750 horsepower, it is the most powerful natural gas engine in the world. Advanced technologies like high-flow, low-resistance air systems, combustion optimization, and precise gas control make the WP16NG4.0 highly fuel-efficient. Compared to diesel engines, this engine can save operators up to 150,000 RMB annually in fuel costs, offering an eco-friendly and cost-effective solution for the transportation industry.
B2A Power Battery: Lightweight and Highly Adaptable
The B2A Power Battery is a cutting-edge solution for new energy heavy trucks. The battery comes with a standard 100kWh capacity per pack, which can be quickly expanded to 200–600kWh through multiple parallel connections, making it suitable for applications in heavy-duty tractors, dump trucks, mixers, and special purpose vehicles. Featuring LFP blade technology, the battery delivers excellent safety and long lifecycle performance. Its lightweight design makes it 23 kg lighter than similar products, and it operates efficiently in extreme conditions, with fast charging capabilities at -20°C and a working temperature range of -35°C to 65°C. The B2A battery provides a flexible and reliable option for tough applications.
