Foton and Teld New Energy Form JV to Drive New Energy Heavy Truck Development
Beijing, February 19, 2025 – Foton Motor and Teld New Energy have officially signed a joint venture agreement to build and operate charging stations for new energy heavy trucks and expand global charging infrastructure sales. The signing ceremony was attended by Foton Motor’s Chairman Chang Rui, Vice President Gong Haidong, and Auman Business Unit President Cui Shipeng, alongside Teld New Energy’s President Guo Yongguang and Vice Presidents Liu Zhongcheng and Wang Kunpeng. This partnership aims to accelerate the growth of new energy commercial vehicles and contribute to sustainable and green transportation.

Rapid Growth in New Energy Heavy Truck Market
The new energy heavy truck market has seen rapid expansion in recent years. With stricter environmental regulations and increasing market demand, these trucks are becoming more cost-effective and practical, making them a key focus for future industry growth. As a leading player in China’s commercial vehicle sector, Foton Motor has achieved remarkable results in this field, with its new energy heavy truck sales growing by 148% year-over-year in 2024 and its market share continuing to rise.
Meanwhile, Teld New Energy has established itself as a leader in charging infrastructure, leveraging advanced charging technology and extensive operational experience. The company has partnered with multiple heavy truck manufacturers to develop intelligent charging networks, ensuring a seamless energy supply for the growing fleet of new energy commercial vehicles.
