Oukang Power Boosts Overseas Service to Support Global Users
As the global commercial vehicle industry moves quickly toward cleaner and smarter technologies, Chinese power brands are stepping up to compete internationally. Oukang Power, the core power system brand of Foton Motor, is one of them. With a strong focus on technology and service, Oukang is building a unique path in overseas markets.
From the highlands of Colombia and mines in Mexico to the rainforests of Southeast Asia and the deserts of West Asia, Oukang provides customized power solutions to meet local needs. It also uses digital tools to improve service and supply chain efficiency worldwide. With its commitment to peak carbon emissions by 2028 and a zero-carbon factory by 2030, Oukang is helping raise the profile of “Made in China” on the global stage.
Recently, Oukang's service teams traveled across overseas markets to visit users, dealers, and service centers. They fixed problems on the spot, gathered feedback, and better understood customer needs. This hands-on approach is helping Oukang build stronger customer trust and prepare for more overseas sales growth.
In Saudi Arabia, the team visited local competitors, compared product performance and after-sales service, and identified key issues. In a meeting with Petromin Group, they discussed how to improve service quality. When customers said pickup trucks lacked power on sand dunes, the team suggested optimizing the hybrid torque system to suit local road conditions.

In Chile, Oukang worked closely with its pickup dealer CIDEF to understand how its engines perform in South America and to train local service teams on handling complex issues. The F2.0 engine, known for strong power and low fuel consumption, is especially well-received.

In Colombia, Oukang partnered with Corautos, a light truck dealer in Bogotá, to carry out user research. They conducted interviews, collected vehicle data, and analyzed surveys to learn what customers really think about fuel economy, maintenance, parts supply, and product quality. This feedback is now being used to improve service plans.

In Southeast Asia, Oukang teamed up with dealer SYNESIS to offer onsite technical training. When users in mountain areas reported weak engine power, Oukang used a standard diagnostic process to quickly identify and solve the issue—showcasing their professional capabilities.

Thanks to these efforts, Oukang is strengthening its overseas service system. Their “quick response + accurate support” approach is winning trust from customers and dealers alike and laying a solid foundation for future growth.
Looking at the industry as a whole, engines are moving toward smarter, greener solutions. Oukang follows a “domestic and overseas equally important” strategy and relies on both strong technology and global cooperation to expand internationally.
In terms of products, Oukang has developed a full range from traditional diesel engines to new energy options like 48V mild hybrids, P2 full hybrids, and hydrogen fuel cells. Its diesel engines deliver up to 450 Nm of torque and 50% thermal efficiency, making them a top choice for pickups. Its hybrid systems cut fuel use by 8–10%, ideal for city logistics and premium off-road vehicles.

For market focus, Oukang targets Southeast Asia, West Asia, and Latin America. Backed by Foton’s global network, Oukang's overseas sales jumped 35% in 2024 to 53,000 units. In early 2025, its whole vehicle exports grew by 284%, proving the value of its strategy: focus on key regions and tailor products to local needs.
Oukang also ensures its engines meet Euro V and Euro VI emission standards to stay aligned with regulations in Europe and the Americas.
To support green development, Oukang is part of Foton’s “Fiery Engine Alliance” and works with global suppliers to create low-carbon power solutions. Over 60% of its supply chain is now localized. Its advanced smart factory follows Germany’s Industry 4.0 standards and uses SAP HANA systems and automation to boost efficiency by 40%, ensuring strong global supply.
From deep roots in China to growing its global footprint, Oukang stays focused on customer needs and tech innovation. It continues to deliver efficient, low-carbon power solutions worldwide—adding new energy to China’s manufacturing story. Looking ahead, Oukang will keep expanding in global markets and help bring Chinese power brands to the world stage.
