200kWh Battery, 650km Range —WEICHAI Landking X, Leads Electric Light Trucks
With rapid urbanization and rising environmental standards, traditional logistics trucks are facing growing pressure due to high emissions, excessive fuel consumption, and declining efficiency. Although electric trucks are driving the industry toward a greener future, concerns over limited driving range, weak performance, and insufficient load capacity are still holding things back. To tackle these issues, WEICHAI NECV launched the Landking X Series—an all-new long-range electric light truck series designed for zero-emission, efficient urban delivery.

WEICHAI NECV, the high-end truck brand under WEICHAI Group, leverages the group's robust global supply chain and cutting-edge technology to focus on the research and innovation of new energy and high-efficiency fuel products. With the support of four major R&D centers in Tokyo, Shanghai, Yantai, and the WEICHAI Engine Research Institute, WEICHAI NECV has built a highly efficient and collaborative global innovation network, ensuring continuous product upgrades. Thanks to this strong R&D foundation, the Landking X Series sets new standards for long-range electric light trucks in areas such as new energy technology, battery systems, and drive technology.
The top model of the X Series comes with a powerful 200kWh battery, delivering a long-range of over 650 kilometers on a single charge—perfect for frequent urban deliveries. It uses a high-efficient flat-wire motor that saves more power and performs better, improving energy use by 6.4% over similar products. Fast-charging is also a highlight: it can charge from 20% to 80% in just 25 minutes. With smart energy-saving features like ECO mode, coasting, and regenerative braking, the truck can go even farther on a single charge—effectively addressing concerns over range anxiety.
The X Series is the first in its class to come standard with a high-strength steel frame measuring 865mm in width across all models. It adopts a multi-leaf spring design with a maximum leaf width of 215mm, significantly enhancing structural strength and stability. With reinforced leaf springs and heavy-duty axles, it can carry significant loads—up to 3 tons in the front and 8 tons in the rear. The entire rear axle provides up to 10,000Nm of torque, boosting hill-climbing ability by 89%. The truck is versatile, supporting a wide range of body types, including box vans, flatbeds, stake trucks, and refrigerated units. Cargo boxes can be as long as 4200mm and as tall as 2300mm, with up to 20³of space, making it suitable for all kinds of transport needs.
To improve long-distance driving comfort, the X Series offers the industry’s first high-roof sleeper cabin in a light truck. The sleeper bed is 2000mm by 600mm—big enough for two people to rest. The cab is the widest in its class, at 2120mm, with a flat floor and ample storage. Even someone as tall as 186cm can comfortably stand inside. The driver’s seat comes with an advanced air suspension system with heating, ventilation, and lumbar support, making long drives a lot more comfortable.
The X Series is also the first electric light truck equipped with a full suite of smart driving assistance systems. These include lane departure warning, forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, and lane keeping assist. Drivers can also choose a 360° camera system to get a better view on busy city streets and when parking—making the drive safer and easier.
With growing demand for zero-emission solutions, WEICHAI Landking is actively expanding its global presence. The X Series is well-positioned to become a preferred long-range electric light truck for urban fleets worldwide, thanks to its cutting-edge electric powertrain, modular design, and smart driving systems.
